UNITRUNK APPOINTS QUINLAN TO FIRST COMMERCIAL LEAD ROLE IN HARLOW

Keith Quinlan

Cable management specialist, Unitrunk, has appointed Keith Quinlan to the newly-created role of commercial lead for the company’s Harlow depot, which provides a product supply, sales and technical support hub for the South East.

Harlow is one of nine Unitrunk locations across the UK and Ireland, which includes manufacturing facilities in Lisburn and Warrington and a network of depots in Bristol, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Newcastle, Livingstone and Dublin. The company has made a strategic move to leverage the opportunities of this UK-wide network to engage with customers by appointing a commercial lead for each depot and Keith’s new role is a critical milestone in that process.

Bringing more than 20 years’ experience in the electrical sector to the post, including sales positions in both wholesale and manufacturing environments, Keith is already well-known amongst wholesalers and contractors in the South East market. His remit includes developing existing contacts and engaging with new customers, supporting wholesalers in building their own contractor relationships and driving sales.

Keith comments: “Unitrunk is an innovative business; not only has the company pioneered its Rapid Installation Systems (RIS) cable management ranges and revolutionised the market with the idea that contractors can reduce costs by choosing better-designed products that help them spend less time on site, but we are also the only UK cable management specialist with a UK-wide distribution network.

“The depot network gives Unitrunk a great opportunity to work with customers and facilitate strong relationships between wholesalers and contractors by adding a layer of service and support between the sales enquiry and the finished order. In that way, we can ensure speed of response and accurate specification to cut waste, reduce costs and ensure every installation is robust.”

Keith will work closely with the Unitrunk sales team and help to ensure that the sales, specification and procurement processes are joined up.

Unitrunk’s group sales director, Eddie O’Reilly adds: “Unitrunk only sells through the wholesale channel and part of the reason for the appointment of Keith and our other commercial leads is to add value to those wholesalers by supporting their contractor relationships with specification support, speed of response to enquiries and security of product availability.

“Keith has already been out and about meeting our customers and their customers. The response he’s had indicates that we have clearly made the right choices, both with the creation of this new role and with the appointment of Keith for the South East region.”
