Speedway ladder range reaches new heights with SW2 launch
Since its introduction, the Speedway® Ladder has become a trusted solution in for major projects worldwide, valued for its robust design and high loading capacity. Through ongoing collaboration with customers and project partners, we identified a growing requirement for a more compact and lightweight ladder solution, particularly for installations where space is limited.
The new SW2 Ladder has been developed to meet this demand. Based on the proven Speedway® design, the SW2 range maintains the strength and structural performance customers expect while incorporating a reduced sidewall height, creating a more compact cable management option suitable for installations in tighter environments.
The specification was initially driven by customer demand in the Nordic markets, where contractors highlighted the need for a ladder system capable of performing in confined spaces and restricted installation areas. Following strong feedback from early discussions and project consultations, we recognised the wider potential of the design and have now introduced the SW2 Ladder to our global customer base.
“The Speedway® Ladder has been a core part of our cable management offering for many years,” said Johan Casparsson, Group Projects Director. “Through close collaboration with our customers and partners, we recognised the need for a more compact solution that still delivers the strength and performance our systems are known for. The SW2 Ladder achieves exactly that, offering contractors greater flexibility when working in space-restricted environments while maintaining the quality and reliability expected from Unitrunk products.”
The SW2 Ladder is fully compatible with our UniBolt and patented UniKlip® fixing systems, enabling fast, straightforward installation and significantly reducing assembly time compared to traditional nut-and-bolt methods.
The range is available in both Pre-Galvanised Steel (QQ) and Zinc Magnesium coated steel (ZM). Zinc Magnesium has become an increasingly popular choice for contractors seeking corrosion protection comparable to hot-dip galvanised finishes while delivering a lower environmental impact.
To support a wide variety of installation requirements, the SW2 Ladder is available with a complete range of compatible fittings and accessories, ensuring flexibility and adaptability across different project environments.
As we continue to expand our presence across Europe, we have worked closely with regional distribution partners to bring the new range to market.
“We have seen strong demand from contractors in the Nordic region for a ladder system that combines strength with a more compact profile,” said Kristoffer Ziegler, Sales Director at Kruge, Unitrunk’s distribution partner in Norway. “The SW2 Ladder addresses this requirement perfectly. We are pleased to support the launch of this new range and look forward to introducing it to customers who require high-performance cable management solutions for challenging installation environments.”
The introduction of the SW2 Ladder further strengthens Unitrunk’s commitment to innovative cable management solutions, providing installers and contractors with systems designed to deliver strength, efficiency and ease of installation.
