Connected Climate Commitment
Unitrunk signs BEAMA 2050 Connected Climate Commitment
Unitrunk has formally signed the BEAMA 2050 Connected Climate Commitment, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating decarbonisation across the UK’s energy, transport and built environment supply chains.
The cross-sector Climate Commitment—developed under BEAMA’s 2050 Connected platform—has been launched to strengthen alignment, accountability and measurable progress toward Net Zero. By joining the initiative, Unitrunk is aligning with a growing network of organisations working collaboratively to address emissions across complex value chains.
The BEAMA 2050 Connected Climate Commitment provides a shared framework focused on science-based targets, governance integration, circular economy principles and enhanced value chain collaboration. It comes at a critical time, as Scope 3 emissions become an increasingly important component of corporate climate strategies, bringing heightened regulatory scrutiny, customer expectations and reporting complexity.
Through its participation, Unitrunk is committing to a structured, industry-led approach that moves beyond ambition toward coordinated delivery.
A unified supply chain approach
As a signatory, Unitrunk commits to:
- Reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
- Setting science-based targets aligned to 1.5°C
- Embedding sustainability into governance
- Integrating circular economy principles
- Engaging responsibly in policy development
- Collaborating to strengthen value chain alignment
The initiative has been endorsed by CEF and Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks, highlighting increasing cross-sector momentum toward collaborative climate leadership.
By signing the Commitment, Unitrunk is taking a further step in supporting industry-wide decarbonisation and helping drive a more coordinated, transparent and effective transition to Net Zero.
