GREEN INITIATIVES AT UNITRUNK

The Unitrunk Group has embarked on a long-term mission to become NetZero throughout the business by 2035. We’ve already taken a number of steps to ensure this happens, most recently the transition to a hybrid and fully electric fleet of cars.

The Unitrunk sales team regularly visits customers, contractors and wholesalers, and projects in pre and post commencement stages throughout the UK and Ireland. With increased demand throughout the pandemic, we have been busier than ever and now the market has opened up again to permit travel to sites, it is more important than ever that we minimize our carbon footprint where we can.

Earlier in the year Unitrunk welcomed the installation of solar panels to the Lisburn manufacturing site. The panels have the capability to produce over 100kWh/day on average annually, providing the potential to power the entire Unitrunk HQ offices and manufacturing facilities throughout the year.

Previously we made the switch to LED energy efficient lighting throughout all office and factory buildings, at our manufacturing sites in Lisburn, N. Ireland and Warrington, England, in a continued effort to consume less energy throughout the business as a whole.

As a team we are committed to a greener approach and continue to explore new avenues of reaching our NetZero by 2030 goal and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
